Coins for investment

Precious metals can be acquired as ingots or as coins. Coins are divided into so-called investing coins (material value is decisive) and collecting coins (materials value is secondary).

Although investing coins (often called "Bullion Coins") with the same material value are somewhat more expensive as metal ingots, they are as a rule more common, better known, more neutral (no embossing) and above all safer from falsification (same dimension, only one minting institution).
